Topsoe has taken advantage of more than sixty years of commitment to catalysis to develop a series of catalysts and technologies to protect the environment.
SCR DeNOx - removal of nitrogen oxides
The SCR process is a catalytic process for reduction of nitrogen oxides to nitrogen in flue gases and industrial off-gases by Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) using ammonia or urea as reducing agent.
WSA - catalytic desulphurisation
The WSA process offers desulphurisation of flue gases and industrial off-gases. With this unique technology, the sulphur is recovered in the form of concentrated sulphuric acid and the process generates no waste or by-products.
SNOX™ - flue gas desulphurisation
The SNOX™ process combines the WSA desulphurisation and SCR DeNOx technologies for efficient removal of oxides of nitrogen and sulphur, as well as particulates in flue gases from combustion of high sulphur fuels.
CATOX - catalytic oxidation
The CATOX process is used for removal of noxious Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and malodorous compounds in air and off-gases by catalytic oxidation.
